Seeking God's Face

"You have said, "Seek my face." My heart says to you, "Your face, Lord, do I seek."”
Psalms 27:8 ESV

What does it mean to seek the face of God? It is more than desiring God's blessings. Seeking God's face requires us to reach past his hand. Scripture associates God's hand with His power, but his face is something more. When God asked David to seek His Face, he was inviting David to discover who He actually is.

When will we allow God to be more to us than simply an earthly help? If we will persevere in seeking God's face we will discover a heavenly friendship that is more precious than anything we could have asked for. I challenge you to place all of your personal prayers on hold but one. Ask God to reveal himself to you as you seek His Face.

Still Seeking His Face,
Pastor Andrew
