Faith Matters More than Finance

“Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.””

Matthew 19:26 NIV

The only power on earth capable of resisting God is our own will. There is only one point of access God has to our lives and that is through the exercise of our will to believe, this is the essence of faith. When we are exercising our faith, we are giving God permission to work.

God is always longing to do the miraculous in our midst. Our faith unleashes God's power in our own lives and in the world around us.

God is not limited by our means, but rather by our lack of faith. It is easy to feel like God's work rests solely upon our shoulders, but this is not the case. In our cooperation with God in sharing the gospel he has always and will always do the heavy lifting.

Do we believe God has called us to establish a permanent base of ministry in Buford? The evidence, based upon rapidly opening doors, strongly suggests God is calling us in this direction. We have no reason to be intimidated by price tags, if we believe and each invest our two mites by faith, God will make up the difference.

If we, however, withhold what we can give due to a lack of faith there is reason for concern. God is not hurting for financial resources, but he is typically heavily handicapped by the unbelief of his people. It doesn't matter how much you are capable of giving but it is essential that we believe God will do great things when we give what we can. We are not up against a test of our financial resources but a test of our faith. If we can discern this and fully engage our faith we will be amazed at the miraculous things the Lord accomplishes in our midst.

Still Seeking His Face,

Pastor Andrew
